The Twinkies

Well here is the official post! We are having healthy ....... BOYS!!! We are shocked, scared, but overall excited and happy that they look good. These boys are not going to be shy though!! Both of them had their little legs wide open and their sexes were very obvious!! Two Little Peepers! They measured perfectly for their ages and were moving all around. I even had to roll to one side during the ultrasound because baby B would not cooperate with the tech so she could get a picture of his heart!! We also saw that Baby B is laying on top of Baby A! They are already wrestling!! We have not decided on names yet. We have a few we have been throwing around but nothing is for sure!! I'll post pictures when Ryan scans them and post names when we decide!!

Sorry its been so long since my last update. Everything is going fine. My belly keeps getting bigger and bigger every day. I wake up every morning and I notice a difference! Definitely a good thing; I know the babies are growing! I am also starving every couple of hours. I have also been feeling the babies move through out the day, but mostly at night just when I am trying to go to sleep! These kids are already trying to keep me awake all night! My last OB appointment (almost 2 weeks ago...oops) went fine. My blood pressure is great and I am actually starting to gain weight instead of loosing it! I saw a different doctor than last time and he was ok. As long as he can deliver babies, I don't have to like him! The heart rates were in the 140s. Our next appointment is our BIG ultrasound where we get to find out what our little monkeys are!!! Its this Thursday at 8:40am!!! We are just so excited!!! Not only to see our babies after 5 weeks of not seeing them, but just to make sure they are good and healthy! That has been our only prayer for these babies that they are healthy and strong! We will feel greatly blessed no matter what the sexes are!! I will post pictures of the ultrasound and of me when I stop being lazy!! Have a good weekend!

Ok well I am a ding dong or I have severe pregnancy brain or even the combination of the 2. I thought I had posted on my first regular OB appt last week but I obviously haven't! Anyway, it went really well. I met with the nurse practitioner and she was awesome! She answered all of my questions (Ryan could not afford to miss another day of work so he wasn't there). The babies are good. She had a hard time finding both heartbeats. The babies are already ornary! You figure they have my whole uterus to move around in yet they were on the same side of my belly like a couple of inches apart! I say they were either cuddling or beating each other up already!! We didn't get an ultrasound she just used the doppler to get the heartbeats. Baby A's heart rate was 145 and B was 160. I also have to see a high-risk specialist just because they are twins, not because anything is wrong. The first visit I have with them is my big ultrasound that we will try to find out the sexes! I'm so excited. That will happen April 23 when I will be 18wks 5days. I have another regualr OB appt next Wed. to so some blood work and check the heartbeats again.
As for me, I am feeling 110% better. No more nausea. I actually have the opposite issue now; I can't get enough to eat!! I am constantly starving!! I try to eat healthy and I am doing a pretty good job of it, but pizza is my absolute favorite right now!! I am starting to gain the weight that I lost in my first trimester back so thats good. These babies are growing like crazy!! I also have a little baby belly now! It's cute! Ryan makes fun of me because when I laugh my whole belly shakes!! It is pretty funny! My uterus is also measuring a couple weeks ahead of schedule. I assume that is due to the fact there are 2 in there! Anyway, I will update more later. Possible (and I mean possible) belly pictures to follow.....

Update!!

Well this morning was our final appointment with our specialist, which is bittersweet. We love our doctor and the office staff so we will miss them, but we are also excited to move on and make progress in this pregnancy!
Everything looked great today. The babies are measuring a week ahead of schedule. Ryan thinks they are going to be 10 pounds apiece like he was, but I DON'T THINK SO!!! I think I would die!! haha We tried to fnd out the sexes today, but they were in weird positions so that wasn't possible. I will post ultrasound pictures, but they used a different ultrasound machine and I don't think the pictures are very good. I can't really see much detail as before on either of the twins.
Anway, I am feeling better though nausea still haunts me. We are starting to get the house ready and plan on things we will need and thngs we don't need/want as well.

Ultrasound pictures at 11 weeks 3 days

Another baby update! I had an appointment yesterday and an ultrasound and it went wonderfully. The babies are growing and moving and look more and more like babies instead of aliens. One of them was moving all around and wouldn't hardly hold still for the doctor to take a picture. Ryan got a video of it with his phone which I will try to post here. As soon as he scans the pictures I will post those as well.
I thought that this would be our last appointment with our specialist, but he wants to see us one more time in 2 weeks in which I will officially be in my 2nd trimester! We are so spoiled at this office since we have gotten to see the babies pretty much every 2 weeks. When we go to the regular OB doctor, our speciallist said that we porbably won't have another ultrasound until around 20 weeks. How am I to wait 6 weeks for an ultrasound!!! Ryan even told the specialist that we were addicted to ultrasounds! It was cute.
