So in case anyone doesn't know by now, I am having surgery November 26th (yes the day before Thanksgiving). Why you ask? My reproductive endocrinologist believes that I may have endometriosis on top of my PCOS. Odds are that I do since most women who have fertility issues have at least a mild case of endometriosis. The only way to diagnose and treat it is to have a laproscopy under general anesthesia. They will make an incision in my belly button and feed a camera in my abdominal cavity to look around and remove it if it is present. Although it seems like an easy surgery where nothing could go wrong, I am scared to death. Being a nurse makes you know too many things and all the things that could go wrong! Darn knowledge!! So just pray for me! Another thing is that I work Tuesday night and I have been warned that I may not wake up from anesthesia that well since I will be really tired! I am trying to get someone to work for me but the only person left is on sick leave with the shingles and she won't know if she can work until Monday and I have yet to ask her if she is even willing.... Just pray she is better and willing!! haha
Anyway, my wonderful husband decided that he wanted to get into an accident on the first day of snow for the winter season! haha Actually it wasn't his fault. A lady in front of him lost control of her car going down a hill and tried to correct and spun. Ryan tried to miss her but hit her in the back bumper. No one was hurt and the only damage was to her car and it was a cracked bumper. Her insurance agreed it was her fault so we don't have to worry about paying fines or increasing insurance. So I guess its all good!
Oh another prayer request I will throw out there is that if you remember in my last post about trying to find a day shift job etc etc and all the struggles, well there is a pretty good chance I can stay where I am at! A day shift position may open up soon in my unit so I will work 3 days a week 7a-7p! I'm sooooo excited at even getting an opportunity. So my boss knows I am interested and she just has to check with the rest of night shift, but I don't think anyone else would want it! So premature YAY!
Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and I will try to update on my surgery ASAP!
